Do you believe — really — that Obama is going to unite the country?
I don’t know. I hope so, and the fact is that I am as for to the left of him as you are to the right, and I think that most Americans disagree with both parties on some serious issues.
Maybe if we could “unite” for a minute, we could get some things that all of us want done taken care of, and then go back to squabbling over details. This was the spirit of my post.
I seem to recall Jimmy Carter uniting the country.
