Of course, you never mention the NYT/CBS/ABC/MSNBC smear-fest against Sarah Palin. Your friends at Daily Kos told us Trig was really Bristol's child, incestuously conceived with Todd. Of course, this was just the Obama campaign's attempt to flush out Bristol's current pregnancy, an open secret in Wasilla at the time.
Your friends in the hate-filled anti-Christian media criticized her mainstream Christian beliefs. For instance, some scandalously pointed out: "She is a member of a church that believes in the 'end times.'" Yes, all Christians do. There's an entire book of the Bible covering the subject (Revelation).
Your friends irresponsibly kept alive the myth that she tried to ban books in Wasilla, for instance. They kept alive the myth that she abused power in regards to trying to get a man fired from the Alaskan State Police whom the Governor's security staff said was a threat to the Palin family. They tried irresponsible gotcha journalism and asked questions of her that they never asked of The Messiah.
Ayers and Wright are not minor issues. They show a a long-run tendency to make friends and political allies of anti-Americans, anti-capitalists, and racists.
Your desire for conversation is what your side always does: Tries to neuter us by seeking phoney bipartisanship at the same time that you try to take away our First Amendment rights by driving our voices out of the media and, with the coming Fairness Doctrine, shutting up talk radio.
No longer will we be cowed by your claims that any attempt to advance our beliefs is inherently racism, mean-spiritedness, or divisiveness. We are now going to fight like we haven't fought since 1994, and that does not bode well for your totalitarian leftist friends.
Will you try to have decent conversation with us when Obama closes all churches that teach the Biblical positions on homosexuality and abortion? Will you try to seek common ground with us when Obama shuts down talk radio and bans conservative viewpoints from the media? I doubt it.
I’ll tell you what: If Obama closes churches for teaching anything, I’ll admit that he was wrong. That’s not really a liberal position, though.
