First, let me say that my father-in-law is a dyed-in-the-wool conservative,well-educated and intellectual, and he and I spend every Sunday afternoon having long, drawn-out discussions about politics that we both enjoy very much. He has changed my mind on some issues, and I have changed his, but more than that, I respect him, and feel that his views were given short shrift this year.

Specifically, by the overly negative emphasis of Republican advertising. I know, Obama's a muslim, terrorist, alien, puppy-killing ninja, but even if all that were true, by focusing on distractions instead of the issues in this critical year, all of your opinions were marginalized.

John McCain's speech last night was wonderful. I think that if he had held that tone throughout the campaign, he would have won last night. I disagree with him on so many things, yet I still respect him and believe that he is a patriot. This from someone who is disappointed because Obama is too conservative for my taste.

So, let's leave the 9/11 conspiracies and the guilt-by-association (Ayers, Wright, Liddy, etc) stuff alone, and talk about important things. And please, if you want to know why I hate America, it's all about reality TV (<-- sarcasm); real questions, please.

Fire away!

You had better pray that The It is a whole lot less effective then he has promised. Otherwise, you will learn the true meaning of “Unintended Consequences” and the uses of a pig pen.

You wish he was a CAPITAL "C" communist, versus the Ayers small "c" communist?

You forgot ILLEGITIMATE President-Elect, since so many believe he was born in Kenya, and because of all the fraudulent ACORN voters.

Actually, I’m in. You’ve registered. I’ll listen. I’ll attempt reasoned discourse.

My experience in dealing with self-declared *political* liberals is that I get very little in the way of principled positions, or fact-based arguments. My experience is that political liberals are among the most intolerant and irrational among our truly diverse populations. So, having written all that ...

So, I’ll give you your shot. I am ready to listen.

Tell me,
(1) what are the top three ‘changes’ you expect from an Obama administration, and
(1.1) what are the indicators of success of those top three changes, and
(1.2) what is the price to be paid of NOT making those changes, and
(1.3) what is the price to be paid to MAKE those changes, and paid by whom?

And

(2) What, SPECIFICALLY will be better for you because Barack Obama is going to be our PResident?

let's leave the 9/11 conspiracies

You must be confusing this site with someplace else. Do a little more research (and stay away from large cities). Please STFU.

And Zot!

So do we, welcome to the club. McCain didn't lose on account of being too conservative, libtard. The silver lining is that we can go back to hating him now.

OK...First question...what makes you think I give a tinker’s damn about why you hate America? (<— also sarcasm; maybe)

OH! And, that ‘guilt by association’ thing...it’s far too important to leave alone. The sheeple wool over your eyes just won’t let you see it.

Of course we can (and will) talk about important things. But, if you have nothing else to offer other than the cock-a-mamie socialist malarkey that comprises the Liberal platform, you are very likely wasting your breath.

Of course, you never mention the NYT/CBS/ABC/MSNBC smear-fest against Sarah Palin. Your friends at Daily Kos told us Trig was really Bristol's child, incestuously conceived with Todd. Of course, this was just the Obama campaign's attempt to flush out Bristol's current pregnancy, an open secret in Wasilla at the time.

Your friends in the hate-filled anti-Christian media criticized her mainstream Christian beliefs. For instance, some scandalously pointed out: "She is a member of a church that believes in the 'end times.'" Yes, all Christians do. There's an entire book of the Bible covering the subject (Revelation).

Your friends irresponsibly kept alive the myth that she tried to ban books in Wasilla, for instance. They kept alive the myth that she abused power in regards to trying to get a man fired from the Alaskan State Police whom the Governor's security staff said was a threat to the Palin family. They tried irresponsible gotcha journalism and asked questions of her that they never asked of The Messiah.

Ayers and Wright are not minor issues. They show a a long-run tendency to make friends and political allies of anti-Americans, anti-capitalists, and racists.

Your desire for conversation is what your side always does: Tries to neuter us by seeking phoney bipartisanship at the same time that you try to take away our First Amendment rights by driving our voices out of the media and, with the coming Fairness Doctrine, shutting up talk radio.

No longer will we be cowed by your claims that any attempt to advance our beliefs is inherently racism, mean-spiritedness, or divisiveness. We are now going to fight like we haven't fought since 1994, and that does not bode well for your totalitarian leftist friends.

Will you try to have decent conversation with us when Obama closes all churches that teach the Biblical positions on homosexuality and abortion? Will you try to seek common ground with us when Obama shuts down talk radio and bans conservative viewpoints from the media? I doubt it.

OK, I’ll bite.

Since the top 10 percent of earners in this country pay something like 76 percent of federal income tax already, and the bottom half of earns pay about 3 1/2 percent of income taxes, how much more do you and your fellow socialists er, I’m sorry, I mean liberals, think “rich” people should have to pay? 90 percent? 98 percent?

"Fire away!"

In my experience, liberalism is like this beautiful lagoon. As a conservative, I know that just below the surface of that placid scene lies a multitude of hungry sharks. As a conservative, I refuse to jump in. You as a liberal will readily jump in (and drag me in with you if I don't dispose of your sorry behind first). After having jumped in, you scream and thrash about and curse the conservatives for not saving you.

If the government takes away all of the conservatives resources and gives those resources to the liberals, in a year's time the conservatives will have recovered and liberals will be right back where they started from - broke and sitting on square one waiting for another handout.

Considering that our commander-in-chief-to-be cannot get a security clearance because of his associations unapologetic domestic terrorists, his association with Ayers is highly relevant.

I've never called liberals some of those filthy things they have said about us. The truth is that we don't know the answers to some of the things you accuse us of as being distractions. Please forgive me if I don't want to talk to you. We wanted honest answers. All we got were distortions and spin. It was fair to ask the questions and expect honest answers.

You probably won't be very welcome around here. Another time, I might have welcomed you myself. I will never forget what you did to Bush, deserved or not, and especially what you and the media did to Sarah Palin.

A very small minority of us never really supported McCain anyway. I would have rather had Romney, but a Mormon didn't stand a chance, and I am not of that denomination. It shows how bigoted this country truly is against people who believe differently and a lone conservative woman who was no more flawed than anybody else.

So long.

One question-
What in Obama’s history gives you reason to trust him on any of his promises?

Politicians, after all, are one step below used car salesmen in the honesty scale. What, in his history (not just rhetoric) gives you any reason to believe anytinthing he promises? At that, how much in his history shows his promises are lies (tax increase cut-off at $250k for example- his history shows he voted for increases for folks over $40k- his actions show his rhetoric is a lie)..

In the ballad of Gilgamesh one of the chorus lines is. "A slippery path is nothing to two who help each other."

Liberals believe that the stronger should carry the weaker one on their back.

I for one am tired of a bunch of slackers hitching a ride on my back.

So are a lot of us producers, go look at the stock market today.

Atlas is shrugging and the slackers are not going to get one thing they mistakenly think they deserve!
