I'm learning today: Obama voters are easily swayed!

Posted on 11/04/2008 10:20:50 AM PST by Sweetwood

Guys listen up.

I have been calling all of my friends, having them call friends and I have learned something: Obama voters/non -voters are being swayed easily!

Guys, this election could swing drastically in one day, in a few hours.

Obama's support is shallow, believe me.

Guys...

Get to work, don't give up, call up everyone you know...if we all do what I and my friends have been able to do today, we will win in a landslide!

COME ON GUYS THIS IS ONCE IN A LIFETIME...GIVE IT ALL YOU HAVE...GET UP AND FIGHT!!!! WE WILL WIN THIS!!!

Well that would seem to jive with the thread talking about McCain closing fast in battleground states.

I’m seeing this too, with non-voters. I asked a co-worker this morning if she had been to vote yet. She told me that she thought she would just skip it since she was tired of the Republicans sh*t (I didn’t ask) but she didn’t like Obama. I started her talking about how scary Obama is. Before I knew it she was calling to verify where she needed to vote.

I talked three Obama supporters into changing their party affiliation, but they were so disgusted that they refused to vote one way or the other. (Just couldn’t take that next step and cross over.)

I got one weak McCain voter to the VA polls and she also dragged her sister with her for McCain. (They were going to stay home.)

Got two Obama supporters to vote McCain. (One in California!)

All I did was present facts. Nothing sensational. Hardly hit on the communist/radical connections, birth certificate or the Muslim question. Topics which proved the most effective were military, taxes, the threat to small businesses, Obama’s voting record on abortion and the potential for over-reaching environmental laws. It’s not that these people have a problem with these issues, it’s just that they haven’t cared and haven’t done their homework. A little bit of information went a long way. (One person was completely shocked when I told her that NAZI stood for National Socialist German Workers’ Party. No longer a Democrat.)

Even if all we do is get them disgusted enough to stay home, we’ve stopped Obama votes.

You are correct. Since last night I’ve caused two Obama voters to flip and one to stay home.

Think thats good, I tricked 3 young Obama voters into waiting a little longer to register to vote, at which point they missed the deadline! WooHoo!

Ok, just kidding.

I guarantee you that if you ask many of the Obama supporters why they support their candidate, they will just repeat a recycled line such as, “We need change” or something else just as shallow.

Ask them what issue is important to them. Take the time to nicely explain your opinion and why it is so important to vote the right way.

All you can do is try, but I have noticed it has been relatively easy.

I have gotten a lot of, “I didn’t know that”.

Come on, give it your best shot. Don’t kill yourself over it, but give it a try. If every McCain voter could swing one voter, we would win in a landslide.

Amend my last: Just informed that the two in VA intended to vote anyway.

Ho hum. Got the wrong impression.

(Can’t accuse me of not being honest.)

To: Sweetwood; All

I’ve noticed the same thing. We had lunch with Dem friends on Sunday. I switched their votes with relative ease.
