No doubt the Obamistas intend to reduce the lower 48 to a burned over desert suitible only for peasant farmers.

We'll need food if we all move to Alaska (and as much of Canada as we can acquire by force of arms or otherise).

The Obamaistas can do that job.

To quote Davy Crockett..."since you have chosen to elect a man with timber toe to succeed me, may you all go to hell and I'll go to Texas Alaska."... lol. I'm sure it won't come to that.

Here in Alaska almost everybody has a snowblower or a snow plow, I have seen them on Subarus, ATVs, front end loaders and even on a snowmachine once. Some parts of the state get very little snow like here near Wasilla, Whittier however can get 80 feet!.

Its not so much the cold here, its really dry so it feels different, basically its the clean air that i enjoy. Its just that winter is 6 months long, you have to adapt your whole lifestyle, mind and body to that. I still hate it but lots of people find inside recreation, we have an inside water par and many people have hot tubs, I do, it has its own room.

No I am not wealthy, matter of fact I am almost unemployed at the moment because my work is seasonal.

If everyone thought like you did, the lower 48 would turn pernanently blue.

I am not sure that would be the best defense of the Constitution.....in fact, I am sure it wouldn’t be.

My daughter, her husband and our first grandchild are already in Eagle River, so we don’t have to move...tempted though to sell everything and put it in a bank in Lichtenstein.

I have heard of them, I still say the military is a better deal, civilian wise there is money in being a pilot but the skills needed up here are severe unless you are only doing it in the summer. An A&P can always get work, turbines will pay better.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing a few days ago. Alaska might be the place where America has to go to regroup. It can join with western Canada, and then spread into the American midwest and down into the south.

Freelandia vs. Marxistan.

"Todd Palin’s secession movement..."

Todd Palin has not been associated with the Alaskan Independence Party for years. It is not HIS movement.

I, on the other hand, discovered when I received my voter registration card, that I had been changed from "U" for Undeclared to "A" for AIP. I'm upset, since secession is not a viable option at this time, and I never even knew they existed until I read about Todd's brief association with the party years ago. I plan to have it changed, obviously.

You are exactly correct. When the government takes our liberties, it no longer honors the Constitution, and thus, we are no longer bound to honor that government. The secession question was only answered the way it was in 1865 because Lee got too ambitious at Gettysburg.

I know, I was just kidding about Todd being in the group.

However, I do not begrudge the AIP. They have every right.

Along these same lines, does anyone have a very trustworthy relative that lives outside of the US with an amatuer radio operators license and the equipment to broadcast a signal toward the US? Preferably someone in the Carribean islands, Canada, or Mexico...

The passive reception of information via radio is hard to detect, but the active transmission of information is easily detectable. Someone that is "untouchable" (outside of the country), with the ability to deseminate information to a large group of people, is needed here...

No names at this time. But folks need to be thinking about stuff like this.
