My problem is that the article isn’t posted HERE, where it’s convenient to read. How about a bit of courtesy to post the article if you’re going to make a thread about it and allow THE VIEWER the OPTION to Digg it themselves? Just my opinion, but I think it’s getting obnoxious.

It took literally three clicks to read the article:

Media sweats over exit poll accuracy
By DAVID PAUL KUHN | 10/20/08 8:07 PM EST

Media outlets are preparing for the possibility that their Election Day surveys could be skewed because of overstated support for Barack Obama, largely because of the enthusiasm of his supporters.

. . . etc. . . .

I AGREE that a record of articles fully “cached” in FR is nice (mainly because I don’t trust that they will be maintained at the link), but a lot can’t be posted anyway, and this DIGG thing is an attempt to rapidly bump a lot of article up on one place for a more general public.

If I post any articles with a Digg Link, I myself will try to post as much of the article as is allowed with a direct link and and provide the DIGG link separately.

The way the poster did it however is not the end of the world, and people will soon find the optimal ways to deal with it.

So if the actual annoyance is that some of the article should be posted, then in complaining to the poster (not me), you ought to say: “please post as much of the article as is allowed” ... instead of commenting “stop this digg thing” to someone else.
