My question to you is WHERE IN THE HECK WAS THE HOST OF THIS PARTY? It sounds like the guy was had a little too much of that beer and wine. Once he started to go off on you the host should have said "Ok, Bob (or whatever his name is), that's enough. Let's call it a night and end it on friendly terms."

After McCain/Palin win on Tuesday (PLEASE GOD) people like him are going to lose their sanity.

The hosts were washing dishes in the kitchen. And “Bob” was not sufficiently civil for such a response. I was on crutches, so a quick getaway was not in the cards. I just said something like “I don’t need your personal insults” and hobbled into the kitchen to thank my hosts and say goodnight. And then I hobbled out, talking to a former student, their son, who was apologetic.

If you were shaking..it was because you were verbally abused.that is tough to take, especially when you get sucker punched.

You know I had this happen during the ‘04 election and it WAS the host. I had some fun verbally torturing him and the rest of his tiny-brained guests for a few minutes and then left.

I’m sure that they laughed amonst themselves about the “unhinged wingnut” after my departure. The host didn’t try to contact me for two weeks. When he did he didn’t apologize but rather tried to pretend it never happened.

I’ve never spoken to him since.
