In short. It was frightening. Truly. And it is hard to understand how some people can be so utterly full of hate and venim. Then it occurred to me: this is what we are up against. Pure, mindless hatred. Do I dare call it evil?

Quit feeling sorry for yourself and head straight for your local Walmart to purchase as much ammunition as possible.

It's too late now to purchase ammunition on the internet [and have it delivered before the election], whereas, by contrast, many [most?] Walmarts are open 24 hours a day [although they might not sell ammunition at night].

The ammo you get at Walmart won't be quite as nice as the really good stuff ["match grade"] which you could have ordered off the internet, but, at this late date, beggars can't be choosers: Less-than-perfect, el-cheapo ammunition from Walmart is better than no ammunition at all.

If McCain wins, then we are going to have Rodney-King-styled rioting all over the nation, and if Obama wins, then they are still going to set cars on fire and throw rocks through windows in celebration.

PS: No, I am not being facetious - I am being deadly [no pun intended] serious.

Right now there might still be some ammunition on the shelves of your local Walmart, but in another day or two, it will all be gone.

Now get going.

I'm betting neither one wins by Wednesday morning, so we are in for a Democrat-driven replay of the 2000 court fight that will keep half of the lawyers in America employed until mid-January. Probably no rioting until the Supreme Court declares McCain the winner a few days before Bush leaves office.
