My apologies extended. So far I’m unable to open the DVD on my ‘puter to capture the songs or even a still photo.

Nonetheless, I was able to view the DVD on a regular player for the first time and it did sound great.

Off to search through all these programs to find one to open the disc. Meanwhile, I called my brudder and fil and thanked em. My fil’s response was “Oh cripes, that was too long ago.” I said, “Maybe so, but it’s something to be remembered and I thank you.” Maybe that’s why I’m his favorite son-in-law. Never mind that I’m the only sil. :)

Well, drats! I thought a computer would play any DVD. I know that when I record something on a DVD, it will usually play on my pc, but not necessarily on another DVR, unless I format the DVD to 'make it compatible' to other DVD players.

Thank you for trying - if you get it to work, I hope you'll share it with us.
