Oh, Meg, these buttons are BEAUTIFUL! I love the bird, I love the red tulip, the top one, the bottom one......:)
Thank you for the compliments on my drawing of President Bush. It’s the times we saw him like this that are the very heart and soul of this President.
Thank you for the Holidays graphics and links for yesterday, Meg. Lots of pretty and/or cute buttons posted throughout the day!
Thank you, Kitty. I hope your Sunday was as beautiful as your graphic was. :)
Oh, how sweet - I can't believe there are so many beautiful BUTTONS to adorn your clothes with! I do have some jackets with beautiful, unique buttons, but it's fun seeing all these other 'artistic' ones. :)
Your anniversary! I hope you had the best day, doing whatever you wanted to!
What a pretty anniversary post, Meg!
Thank you, jaycee. I hope you listened while reading the words at the same time. :)
I am busy working today....so much to do before Thanksgiving!
I always have it easy for Thanksgiving because we don't have to do anything but show up for dinner with an appetite. :) (Christmas it's my turn though)
Phooey! Italics OFF between quoting Jaycee!
Now I want some warm, buttered homemade bread! But thank goodness for Bread Machines!
Well darn. I see that my bread graphic disappeared.
I wish I had some of those frozen biscuits left.
Thank you, Majie.
Strange ... it seems like forever and it also seems like yesterday. ;)
Thanks, Rus!
Yep .... It does seem like yesterday but at the same time, it is difficult to remember a time when we were not married. :)
I’m sorry, Billie.
I checked this and didn’t catch it.
Thank you, Billie. We had a very nice day. Marissa gets really excited on our Anniversary. I think it is because her mom and dad are not together.
We always include her and our son in our plans. All four of us are anxious to get to the ocean next week.
Not your fault at all. Sometimes I just forget to code the "target=_blank" into the link. But then, I really don't know what others get if they just click on the link itself. For me, since I get so much buffering in a live link, I never open any music links directly, so I always do the right-click, open in another window, and then just let the music fully download. For these openings I do for Amy's, since I HAVE the music already on my hard drive, I don't click on the link again - I just open my player to that song and then listen as I view the opening graphic/lyrics. I just don't know if others click on the link and their player opens (Windows Media Player or whatever their default)so that you CAN have both open at the same time.
“HIKING”
by Ed Matlack
The overwhelming power of Nature looses the soul from the concrete bastian
Replacing glass-perforated walls with giants of green and bark
Underfoot the cement and asphalt turns into sweet-smelling earth and leaf-rot
A racing stream instead of speeding traffic lends muffled background
Snow mantled boughs exchanged for bleak hard stone—moss for rust
Little known or appreciated solace is found in this haven a few minutes from the core
Lifes dreaded and hum-drum buzz-saw of existence is belittled by a sequence of wonders
Never repeating itself, Nature provides an unending panorama of fool-proof structures
All weather buffeted, the young and old alike bear up under seasonal changes
A quality of serenity little broken by storms - even then, only an adjustment
For the betterment of mankind, a close look at this phenomena would provide an arch of comfort
Beneath tired feet lies the soothing balm of peace...
