MANDARIN, Fla. -- A controversial sign at a Christian church has some Muslims very upset. The sign reads: "God loves you, Allah hates."
A spokesperson for the council on American Islamic relations said that the message is preposterous because he believes Muslims, Christians and Jews all believe in the same Lord.
One mother saw the sign and was scared by the message it was sending.
"What have I done, what have I done to deserve that kind of hatred in my neighborhood?" she said.
The pastor of the church refused to talk on camera and when asked about the sign he said the Quran says "God hates the sinner."
The mother believes in freedom of speech, but she also wants acceptance for her religion.

Isn't Allah just the Arabic word for god? So, it's like in English where we distinguish between God (for the Judeo-Christian God) and god (for Zeus, for example). I wonder if a pagan god would be referred to as a lower-case allah in Arabic?
