I wouldn't call it fair (too many snide leftist assumptions stated as fact), but I would call it friendly. He basically likes Rush personally, although he considers him a virtual lunatic in what he believes. He clearly has no understanding of American conservatism, and seems like an anthropologist studying a remote tribe in the jungles of Malaysia when he explains it.

I have spent a fair amount of time in the UK over the past decade or so. Many Brits have a keen fascination with American conservatism. They are not for it, but generally speaking, they admire Americans and have a difficult time believing that it is conservatism that makes us great.
