He shot it right in the head too! I was just preparing to go over and slide my knife in behind it’s shoulder blade when he did it and I looked at him after it ran into the thicket and said “Gee, THANKS!”

Back at the general store I worked at I walked into the store proper after I had cleaned it on the loading dock and asked the boss if I could hang it in the walk-in until I got off work. There were about a half dozen customers in the store and for a second I was wondering why they all were eyeing me, and the clearest route to an exit when I realized I had blood up to my elbows and a large knife in my hand...
