I saw a ghost in college, clear as day. Found out this year what I saw was actually sleep paralysis.

There's almost always an explanation. However, if someone produces a clear, undoctored video or picture of a space monster a space monster ship, I will reconsider my views. Shouldn't be too hard, since everyone is walking around with a camera on their phone and everyone seems to be seeing space monsters.

After we compile some clear, unphotoshopped photos, we can work together to author a scientific paper and get it published in Nature. Then the argument will be settled, and we'll probably all be quite rich.

I like this plan. I'm happy to be a part of it. Let's do it.

Why do you continually use the characterization “space monster”. I've never seen anyone else on this board do such.

Who are you kidding? There could be no film footage on this planet that you would ever, even after hell froze over, accept as bona-fide, unless you took the footage yourself.

You kid yourself calling for "clear, undoctored video," but that's the only one you're kidding.

What you ask of me is far more mind-stretching -- to wit, that all these witnesses on tape, in writing, in books, on news programs, from all walks of life -- pilots, air traffic controllers, astronauts, policemen, military officers, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc . -- that ALL of them are either lying or delusional -- all based on your one experience with sleep paralysis. *sigh* Talk about far-fetched.

Mysterio, I thank heaven have never seen a ghost nor a UFO I've felt certain of, and hope I never do. However, I have experienced first-hand, personally, so many paranormal and psychic phemomena that there are way too many to count -- these are first-hand things that make it very obvious that humans can and do communicate with each other in ways that break all laws of physics. It is what it is.

Until you have two or three similar experiences, you will comfort yourself by telling yourself that I am either lying or delusional. That, also, "is what it is." The difference is that I know (and you don't) whether or not those are reasonable explanations, or if the truth is that psychic phenomena exist. I know the answer for sure; you may be like the gal on the 26x9-mi island. I don't pretend to know what they are or how they work and figure that God will let me know more when it suits His purpose, not before, therefore I let sleeping dogs lie. But I would be engaging in self-destruction and deception if I "assumed" I was delusional or pretendeded they hadn't happened.

What does that have to do with UFOs? Only that as I understand from my own experiences, the events related by so many who've seen what I haven't seen, reasonably hold water, and it would be engaging in denial if I took the tack of riduculing and scorning them because I am afraid (as I truly am) of the implications of their evidence.

Are you the one who mentioned of the photos that kids in high school could do better? Okay, HERE'S A CHALLENGE FOR YOU: You produce a three-minute video that could fool a team of researchers for more than 20 seconds.

I doubt it. You'll consider it a Photoshop job. Photos prove nothing. In fact, I doubt that evidence of any sort could convince you to change your mind.

I prefer to leave the question open. I don't know what UFOs are. I suspect (and circumstantial evidence suggests) that most of the UFOs people see are advanced aircraft of human manufacture, deployed and operated by organizations so far "above top secret" that they no longer have any real connection to any legitimate government. But I can't prove anything. I have simply looked at the evidence available, applied my reason to same, and formed an opinion. Right now, that opinion is "real, but probably of human origin", but I am willing to consider other conclusions as well. I hope that you will do the same.

I may be wrong. UFOs might indeed be spaceships operated by ETs, or perhaps they are demonic in origin, or even some sort of hitherto unknown air-dwelling organism. One thing is certain, however: people continue to see them, and the evidence keeps piling up. I intend to keep looking at the evidence as it appears, and perhaps someday the truth will at last be made plain.
