I agree with you about the young ones. If I was made commissioner of baseball I would do a one year experiement with having all world series games played during the daytime. I was listening to Jim Valvano’s radio show once (espn radio overnight on friday and saturday nights) and he was saying that one way you know that a sporting event is a true event is if people take off work to see it. Examples of this are the March Madness. I always take off that friday so I can watch the games. And of course Iremeber as a kid in 1969 pretending to be sick so I could stay home and watch the 1969 world series.
OK Ohio State about to kick a FG......I hope.
I have to correct you on the correct Valvano.
Of course. the late JIM, who won his only NCAA championship in 1983 with North Carolina State, was an absolute joy to listen to. even more so as the insideous cancer was robbing his life.
Brother Bob is the ESPN radio host. I don’t know if he does the overnight shift anymore but I think his main gig is sportstalk in his hometown of Louisville. Just like Jim. Bob is a NCAA hoops junkie.
We have arrived at the 4th quarter. 6-3 good guys!!
