Man50D, I expect a full recap and report of the goings on at “The Rent” on my desk by Monday morning. ;)

Yes Sir!

The "Rent" was soldout as it was homecoming week. Former band members and cheerleaders were on hand. The former cheer leaders are still looking pretty darn good even though they are, well let's just say, about my age. Onto the game.

UConn's fate was in doubt considering they were starting a third string rookie QB and a redshirt freshman place kicker. Donald Brown was his typical dominating self. He only rushed for 150 yards, as you noted, set the UConn single season rushing total with 1,324 yards and four games remaining in the season. Twice he sent defenders to the ground with overpowering stiff arms. he has the uncanny ability to bounce it outside if the middle is plugged up. He, like other excellent runners, has the ability rip off at least one long one every game and he did not disappoint. Oh, did I mention his 58 yards receiving marked the highest single-season total of his career? The guy is deceptively strong and cut from the same mold as Javon Ringer from Michigan State.

Redshirt freshman quarterback Cody Endres didn't throw an interception. That alone is a good job for a first start but more so since he made 28 pass attempts in the first half alone. He also connected on some long passes.

The defense wasn't too shabby either. They rushed the Cincinnati QB's most of the game and held the offense to only 30 yards for the game. Cincinnati did not have any third down conversions. The starter was knocked out of the game near the end of the first half. They had three interceptions. One was for a score late in the fourth quarter.

The Rookie kicker did a good job. His four (4-4) field goals were the most by a UConn place kicker in a single game since Matt Nuzie booted four in the 2004 Motor City Bowl against Toledo on Dec. 27, 2004.

Today’s victory extended UConn winning streak at Rentschler Field to 11 consecutive games.

This is Man50D reporting live from the FR College football Connecticut division desk. Back to you GOP_Raider!

Don’t forget to mention that Kevin Youkilis was on Cincinnati’s sidelines with a Bearcats cap on. He’s from The ‘Nasti and played baseball there. I never did like the Red Sox - this just gives me more reason to not like them.
