Your brother must be happy!!
I’ll be home from work to watch some of the 2nd half.
TD San Jose State! That just might be most poorly developed screen pass I’ve seen in at least the past 3 seasons.
San Jose State 6
Boise State 6
Point(s) after have been, needless to say, odd in the early going.
Well, he was.
For multiple reasons, strange things happen when Boise State plays in San Jose. Looking that way again so far...
Kickers having an issue so far?
San Jose State missed a PAT and Boise State attempted to fake a FG and went for 2 and got called for a penalty. So we’re tied at 6
TD Boise State. Offense for BSU hs starting to click. Key word being “starting”.
Boise State 13
San Jose State 6
If you didn’t get to see Boise State’s two previous appearances in San Jose against the Spartans, watch this one. Trust me. :)
SJSU has speed on D, but I think that a lot of people across the country who don’t see much of the WAC will be surprised at the defenses.
TD Boise State! Ian Johnson has tied the Boise State record for career rushing TDs.
with 8:47 left in the 2nd
Boise State 20
San Jose State 6
Also, my Sharks lost to the Florida Panthers, so this is probably an relatively ominous sign. Or not.
Okay, we’ll if the game is still in some doubt, I’ll be right here with the full commentary on it.
I do think that right now BSU’s WR’s have a definite advantage against SJ’s secondary. I think Dick Tomey recruited Ooompa Loompa’s to fill the corner and safety positions.
Ian Johnson fumbles in the endzone for Boise State. Play under review.
Play is not under review anymore. San Jose State has the ball on their own 20, 1:34 in the half.
The Spartans notch a FG, and it’s now halftime. Strike up the band(s)!
At half, it’s
Boise State 20
San Jose State 9
Is Tech going to use a contest winner for PATs? That’s funny in a way but you’re never sure about the unpredictability of kickers. ;)
Should be a good 2nd half. SJ has momentum and gets the ball to start the half. Boise has finally gotten their ground game going for the 1st time this year and that will make Moore even more dangerous.
Yes - it was a contest they have each year for free rent - he nailed it and the coach approached him about playing for Tech instead..... we lost our fabulous kicker to graduation last spring - we won two bowl games because of Trilica - we sure miss him!
During the 2nd quarter, BSU started to run more between the tackles and SJSU couldn’t really stop any north-south kind of running. Boise State has mismatches they will exploit on D, so at this point, I’m thinking that this game could (being the key word, of course) be a 2nd half similar to their game against Southern Miss.
My brother called me here at work just as the 2nd quarter ended and he said to me that “if someone were to tell me that we’d be up 20-9 at half in SJ, I’d take it.” So I suppose one can’t complain, despite the two turnovers.
If SJ can’t stop the run in the 2nd half it’s game over. Is your brother still in Boise? I live in Boise although now I’m in Oregon for the next few weeks.
