I do worry about that. However, I have my young kids with me and I can’t wait in line for hours with them on election day.
I never missed an election when I was a child, my parents took me to vote with them and it was not a problem. Even the littlest ones can wait for you to vote.
Most places will have things for the kids to do, ballots the kids can use to vote on as well (not real ones).
You do your children a service to bring them to the polls, it will help them to learn the meaning of their republic, and the fact that it takes _citizens_ voting and running the polls to keep it.
Your vote is secure as any will be on election day. Don’t fall for the naysayers. I voted today and honestly there was a very small turnout which surprised me. Somewhere around 30% or greater will be the votes cast in early voting in TX if it holds to past elections. Statewide we’ve had an increase in registration which may help early voting turnout.
Texas will go McCain by a good margin, Cronyn will win going away and most other incumbents will be re-elected including the democratic ones.
