older movies:

“Continental Divide” with John Belushi and Blair Brown, 1981 - not well known, but I enjoyed it.

“The Great Outdoors” with John Candy and Dan Ackroyd, 1988. It slayed me.

“The Philadelphia Story” Cary Grant, Jimmy Stewart Katherine Hepburn, 1940 - clever wit

“The In-Laws” 1970 version with Peter Falk and Alan Arkin.

I second the In-Laws and add another Arkin vehicle (which he also directed), “Fire Sale.” From the author of “Where’s Poppa?” and the only movie to make me literally laugh myself sick. Sadly, Fox has yet to release it to home video in any form.

I haven’t seen The In-Laws in years. Wasn’t there something about getting a lowrider paint job on his BMW?

"Serpentine, serpentine!!!"

Funniest movie I ever watched! Of course, the bottle of wine my friend and I shared may have had something to do with that.
