It has been a given throughout the years
That comets are actually God's Own Tears.
Shed to send a message to lesser forms
That things are erring from the Norm.
While others panic and scream
"The End Is Near!"
When looked at in ways Analytic
With a healthy dose of the Scientific.
The Universe is just some kid's Humongous bedroom floor
Littered with GameBoys, Hot Wheels, Blocks and Army Men
Becoming comets and meteors, the toys are kicked,
Sail, skitter wildly but very rarely score.
To make it even simpler for the Trekkie Geek
The atmosphere protects us as we speak.
Miles of air make a strong defense.
The Object must hit the air just right
Or it skips off like a Line Drive for the fence.
Creating a disrpution that surely is a sight!
Think of God and Saint Peter in A Friendly Game.
Peter breaks the rack and the balls go insane.
Clacking loud amongst the countless Ricochets.
In order to sink the Eight you count the dots
Between the pockets. If the ball doesn't hit
Beside it. Drop in the pocket it will not.
So, the next time you see a Light In The Sky
The odds are excellent that you'll not die
Forget the ideas of people bizarre and Tantric
Just look up in awe and smile and sigh
"Amy's Place" will here, by and by.
"The Hitchhiker's Guide" is correct: "Do Not Panic!"

Morning Amy from the right coast. Interesting times keep me up but it is a pleasure to see you again. Especially back at your own place.
