Not too badly, in fact.
We had to leave Oz in a hurry - hubby’s grandma died in early Sept. - and fly over for the funeral. Figured we might as well stay... so, yeah, we have an apartment in Queens and life is good. Been in touch with a former FReeper pal of ours in Brooklyn, and have even got to have lunch with my brother! (That was a surprise. I called him late one night, thinking he was on the West Coast, but no, he was over in NYC for a couple weeks. Sweet!)
Watching the election hoo-hah up close is an education in itself! (Then again, so is NYC. The difference between the last time I lived here and now? Chalk and cheese. I guess I’m just a big-city girl, and central Connecticut was too quiet...)
LOL!
I’m glad you’re here!
I have a friend in Queens, and even spent a week there right after I moved here. I saw a lot of stuff I thought I’d never see, and it was pretty fun.
NYC is one city that was on the bottom of all my lists, but when I went, I decided to erase any preconceived ideas about it. In doing so, I was very pleasantly surprised!
When I look back on it, it was a quite surprising week, and I’m VERY glad I had the chance to go!
Let me know if you get a yen to come West, again! Vegas is still growing!
