Not to worry. Young people — meaning people under, say, 25 — generally turn out in very low numbers. Plus, I assert that the young people who do vote, be they liberal or conservative, are more mature than their non-voting counterparts and will not be influenced by what Lindsay Lohan says. If anything, some of them may reason, “Whatever Lindsay Lohan is for, I'm against, and vice-versa.”

I do hope that will be true for this election, but I am concerned. I had heard that, at least during the primaries, the younger crowd was showing up considerably more than in the past. And of course, they are generally big supporters of Obama.
