This just may be a Viking Kitty thread as well. The fur will be flying tonight and we are due for some trollage.
Rush said it all today: Mccain is not only running against Obuma but also the entire print and broadcast media, Hollyweird, and the entire Washington establishment including the gov’t. No easy task. Each and everyone of us who is so outraged over the treatment of Palin and MCcain should cancel every so called mainstream print publication and turn the TV off for good with the exception of Fox.
I am no starry-eyed teen looking forward to seeing my hero on tv but I find myself looking forward to this speech at least as much as I yearned for President Bush’ speech following the 9/11 attacks. This is quite possibly the most important speech in American politics in many years and could be either a home run or a swing and a miss....I am on pins and needles here.
Fixed....
Reading obama on this thread is like tuning in to the RNC Convention and seeing nothing but Democrats and commies....oh wait, that’s the way it is!
That means network 'balanced' coverage will just be Sarah Palin....Rush just pointed out that last nite, NBC carried the 'President Bush' video feed only (ie, no applause from the Convention floor). So pregnant pauses during the video feed were when barking moonbats could comment amongst themselves....Expect Barking Moonbats to tune in to NBC again tonite....and of course CBS (and others) didn't carry Thompson at all....yep equal time....riiiight!
Just damn. That’s 10:30 EST. I can’t stay up that late.
Rudy ... Mitt ... AND SARAH!!! W00t
I would think all speeches will be on youtube very quickly but you can see the speeches using ustream.tv, it is what the GOP is using for the convention and is pretty good. You can see the speeches live or watch the replays right there.
I am so looking forward to Rudy tonight, a perfect warm-up for Sarah, I hear Rudy is stepping it up more than usual and is very fired about about everything going on so look for a great speech to warm up the crowds
This is from Kudlows show in June:
Alaska Governor Sarah Palin on Larry Kudlow

People on the live thread last night were talking about Rudy’s simultaneous appearance on one of the news networks, and were really impressed by him. I just hope he doesn’t run on; it will be almost impossible to stay awake until 10:30 as it is! At least Michael Steele is on at 9:00 eastern; maybe I can nap on the couch in the interim ...
Question: I don’t have TV. Can I watch this live via Internet in some way? Please help.
Thanks.
(The only time I miss TV is during election seasons; I’m going to a friend’s house to watch the 3 debates!)
Another thread is claiming the Governor of Hawaii will be speaking right before Palin.
I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT GOVERNOR PALIN’S SPEECH!!!!!
7:30 - Meg Whitman
7:50 - Carly Fiorina
8:00 - Michael Steele
8:15 - Mitt Romney
8:30 - Mike Huckabee
9:00 - Rudy Giuliani
9:30 - Sarah Palin
So somewhere in there we need to add the Governor of Utah Jon Huntsman and Hawaii’s Governor Linda Lingle.
“A society that puts equality before freedom will get neither. A society that puts freedom before equality will get a high degree of both.”
“The unions might be good for the people who are in the unions but it doesn’t do a thing for the people who are unemployed because the union keeps down the number of jobs, it doesn’t do a thing for them.”
“A major source of objection to a free economy is precisely that it ... gives people what they want instead of what a particular group thinks they ought to want. Underlying most arguments against the free market is a lack of belief in freedom itself.
-Milton Friedman
I don’t give a good goddamn what Milton Friedman says. He’s not running for re-election!
