Question (Vanity)

Posted on 09/02/2008 11:23:52 AM PDT by garbageguy

I keep hearing that McCain voted "90% of the time with President Bush", which is all well and good. However, since the Senate usually votes in blocs I wonder how often Obama voted with McCain?

Since W is not a Senator, how do they know how he voted?

better yet, in the name of “change”, how many times did obama vote (when he did vote) with republicans vs. how many times McCain has reached across the aisle? Is that really change we can believe in?

I am not sure why we even fall for the premise. First of all, many Senate votes are proclamations honoring someone (they tend to be unanimous.)

More importantly 90% (which I suspect is a made-up number due to its imprecision...just like 40% for Obama) is less than the DNA similarity of humans and monkeys. I think most of us can see there are some big disparities between those two groups.
