Pardon Me Daylily

The Hemerocallis ‘Pardon Me’, also known as a Daylily, has a very fragrant, small cranberry-wine, almost red flower, with a yellow throat, and a flower size of 3”. With dark green foliage, this daylily will reach a height of 18” and a plant spread of 23-29”. ‘Pardon Me’ will bloom from May through July, with outstanding color and a definite rebloomer. ‘Pardon Me’ prefers a full sun area that is well-drained.

Although the blooms will last only for one day, there are many blooms on strong stems that rise above tall grassy foliage, (remove in late fall). ‘Pardon Me’ is considered to be pest and deer resistant. Use for cut flowers, massing, edging, borders or in mixed containers and tubs.

Yorkie, I have those flowers, and other varieties all over my yard. A few are still blooming, but they are at their end now. :(

I am going to try and get your Banana Bread made today. I’ve been so busy making curtains, tablecloths, and fixing up the house for the wedding, that this is the first chance I’ve had to make it up. Oh, I also had to wait a couple days to ripen some bananas. ;) If it’s as good as it sounds, I’ll probably make a couple of them for the wedding.

Beautiful Daylily, Yorkie. Thank you.

I’ve been considering adding some of these to my yard. Their pictures look wonderful. I think I will check with my Sunset Garden book to make sure they will do well here.

Hope you are having a Marvelous Monday.
