Massachusetts’ Lyrics:
Feel I'm goin’ back to Massachusetts
Something’s telling me I must go home
And the lights all went out in Massachusetts
The day I left her standing on her own.
Tried to hitch a ride to San Francisco
Gotta do the things I wanna do
And the lights all went out in Massachusetts
They brought me back to see my way with you.
Talk about the life in Massachusetts
Speak about the people I have seen
And the lights all went out in Massachusetts
And Massachusetts is one place I have seen.
I will remember Massachusetts
I will remember Massachusetts
I will remember Massachusetts
I find it difficult to understand the reactions your news article got.
Perhaps, H. L. Mencken said it best: The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety), by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary. Unfounded health scares, for instance.
Meanwhile, the media have found that, if they can keep viewers in a perpetual state of panic, they can increase their ratings while making pandering liberal politicians easier to elect. Our nation’s schools promote these schemes with their save-the-planet courses and their failure, in general, to produce a discerning citizenry that cares about being informed. We are ripe for a dictatorship by the Left.
