When I was pouring my morning coffee I reached over and opened the kitchen blind. This thing (secada) was looking back at me on the screen. It has been there since then, has moved just a tiny bit. I see his belly-side but those buggy eyes I can see! Just for fun!

They are sure ugly things.
I’ve never seen one of these but have read about them. The ones in the West seem to “hibernate” for 17 years. They come out of the ground to mate and then you don’t see them for another 17 years. From what I’ve read, they are noisy little things.
