Hi LadyJag.

How was your too-short vacation? We missed you.

Your graphic and poem are really cute. Reminds me of a trip to New England several years ago. One of my friends and I visited Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine. It was a wonderful trip that neither of us will ever forget.

The leaves were absolutely beautiful.

Our little holiday was lovely. We camped by the Cape Cod Canal and watched big business and big money pass by on the waterway. If I could have and sell just one of those humongous oceangoing toys I'd never have to worry about money again.

Saturday our objective was the Bourne Scallop Festival and the freshest, most succulent shellfish that just melts on the tongue. The day was very successful and absolutely yummy. There was musical entertainment in the big tent, a small arts & crafts show, kids rides and a midway. The music was the best IMHO.

It's charming events like that we look for when we can take a couple of days off.

Politics aside, the northeast is a magical place with mountains, lakes, charm, color and rich history. Plus in growing season (of course), it's greener than most places.

Did you come up for autumn when you visited?
