Please make sure you have a full tank of gas in your vehicle tonight (before a run on gasoline), then get a bug-out bag ready with supplies to last 3 days to a week. Make sure you have plenty of diapers, food, etc. for your baby.

If you are in a mandatory evacuation zone, don't even consider riding out the storm with your baby.

Very good advice. I think I’ll run over to Walmart and fill up all vehicles now and fill up the gas cans too so I can top off in a few days IF needed. No sense waiting until there is no gas or it’s gone up 50 cents.

Thanks for all the tips. I filled up my car with gas earlier today. The gas station next to my house is all out of gas and Walmart’s gas line is already roped up and people are being made to stay in an orderly line. I bought food yesterday but the stores were already out of canned meat and bread! People remember Rita and it’s aftermath, glad everyone is taking it seriously this time.
