Grandma had white, sheer, pricillas in the dining room. No one could see in that room. I loved them. She had the old brown paper window shades under them. In summer, she’d pull them halfway down to keep the room cool. They don’t make those shades anymore. I mean the brown paper. In the early 70’s they became white vinyl. She hated them. I did too. Window shades have gotten better since the 70’s but I srill love the brown paper ones.
