Don't know when I'll be back. It's up early tomorrow for the flight that ends my 2-1/2 months at home, beginning the longest work-only trip I've ever had. (Okay... it's only two weeks... could I have some cheese to go with this whine? *\;-)

Folks, I'm done for the night and off for at least the next two weeks and a good part of the next two months (save the possible occasional opportunistic appearances). But as we're a third of the way through the month of September, here's a 1/3-way ping for you.

Good luck on your trip! At least you were able to be with your sister briefly before leaving, and it sounds like the memorial plans will suit most everyone. In my extended family, large memorial “celebrations” at a convenient time and place have become the norm. I think it’s much easier on the immediate family to have a simple observance immediately and host all the relatives and friends months later.
