I kind of like the crackles and pops plus I have many records with art that you can't get on CD.

I kind of like the crackles and pops plus I have many records with art that you can't get on CD.

I've been a music hound since I was 8 or 9...back in the Fifties.As I said...yes,when we first heard this stuff it was either on AM radio or on a phonograph.Both sources of lousy sound.There is a place in that "young kid" side of me that identifies with the cracks and pops and the poor sound of AM.But I like CDs better.

As for the art,I tossed out every bit of vinyl I had that I was able to get on CD (or CD-R) but I kept the covers.Yes,a lot of the covers are cool for many reasons...the art itself being one.
