This terrible situation can only be made worse if the chick decides to have an abortion. Ideally she will have nothing further to do with “dad” or “grampa” — they clearly have nothing much by way of wisdom to contribute to this poor kid. Let’s hope Mum is smarter than the facts-to-date seem to suggest. Pray for the kid.

Wise words FRiend! I remember my GrandDad's advice to my Dad, and their combined advice to me, which was "keep your future in your pants", and I don't regret that advice for one moment.

How are you doing way down there this weekend? Enjoying yourself and taking it easy?

That's what I'm doing at the moment but of course "all things are subject to change", lol

Your Dad was clearly a very wise man, my FRiend.

My Dad gave me similar advice, and I have followed it all my life, too. No regrets, just a couple of great kids at a time in life when my wife and I could raise ‘em properly. Married to the same woman for many years, she is my first wife and I don’t think there will be a second one.

Naturally, my kids have been given this same guidance. too.

That, and getting over a nasty flu. But it’s mid-winter here so that is all par for the course. It is a good weekend for relaxing.
