Grilled steaks sound wonderful! And I certainly believe that about your grill! Speaking of steaks, Alton Brown showed how to do steaks the other night. He started them off in a smoking hot cast iron skillet to sear them, and finished them in a 500 degree oven for a few minutes on each side. Not as good as grilling I'm sure..
Searing steaks is definately the secret. I heat my grill on high and never turn it down. I turn them twice at different angles to get that nice checkered pattern and then yank them off. Even my 11 year old likes them crispy on the outside and hot pink on the inside. My hubby calls me the grill master. He only pretends to grill if there are other men around, lol. He kind of stands next to it with a beer and I keep a close eye on him.
