I have always maintained that Oswald was a soviet assassin. You have to go through a lot of mental gymnastics to argue that he wasn't.

I'm willing to accept that he was a Soviet agent. I just have a tough time buying the idea that the Soviets would knock Kennedy off. Killing a head of state is just not a good idea unless you control the succession plan. There are just too many variables to account for.

Well, the soviets were pretty nuts and had no aversion to assassination and murder. Kennedy basically spit in kruschev's face and told him to go screw himself Commies routinely "liquidate" opposition even if it is not the wisest thing to do.

I am by no means expert on the assassination but the evidence sure seems to point to that conclusion.
