Thank you, Cardhu. The presentation was very interesting. I love cheese. In fact, I don’t think my family would survive without some kind of cheese.
Thank you for these PP Presentations.
In ‘91 I had to make a trip to the NATO repair depot in Luxembourg and I caught the plane back to the U.S. in Amsterdam. I got one of those round, flat ~~ what we used to call a hoop except these are more like a cushion ~~ blocks of gouda (pronounced houda) at the duty free store in the Amsterdam terminal.
I was concerned because I had heard that some U.S. customs officials would say that you couldnt bring the cheese into the country then take your cheese and keep it for themselves. I was resolved to, should that occur, eat as much as I could hold and throw the rest in the garbage can.
The plane was 2 hours late leaving Amsterdam due to equipment problems. We sat on the plane for at least an hour before we had to get off and board another plane. That put us into Atlanta after 10 PM and I had no problem getting my hoop of cheese through customs. Not sure if I would have had a problem with the day crew or not.
Anyway the cheese was excellent.
Cardhu, you have outdone yourself again! The ‘Dancers’ is great. The ‘Cheese Markets’ could use a little ‘cheesie music’ but other than that is wonderful and informative. Your presentations make my day.......along with all the other ‘stuff’ that so many contribute...especially the graphics!
