My Favorite Banana Pudding

2 (3 and 1/2 oz.) pkgs instant vanilla pudding and pie mix,
4 c cold milk
1 can sweetened condensed milk, (14 ounces)
1 container frozen whipped topping, (16 ounces)
6 large sliced bananas
Box of vanilla wafer cookies

Preparation:
Prepare pudding mix with milk as directed..let stand until
slightly thickened..3 minutes

Add condensed milk. Blend well;
Fold in half the whipped topping.
Alternate layers of pudding, bananas and vanilla wafers;
Top with remaining whipped topping and a few banana slices

Refrigerate overnight before serving.(I have made this in the morning and served it late afternoon)
I have made this using 8oz cool whip in pudding..none for
topping.
I use a clear glass bowl..one may use a 9 by 13 baking dish
Let frozen topping soften in refrigerator..do not
stir..fold it in

"Less guilt" recipe..use sugar free pudding mix, fat free
whipped topping, skim milk to make pudding (LOL)
My family loves this.

Yummmm! This is the same ‘recipe’ I got from my aunt after eating it one time at a family gathering. I couldn't understand how it was so LIGHT & CREAMY! My mom's banana pudding was the old-fashioned kind that she made from scratch and cooked on the stovetop - she used the same basic recipe for all her cream pies - just varied the optional ingredients to make banana, or pineapple, or coconut - or cocoa, for chocolate cream pie. These all had fluffy meringue on top.

Your illustration looks very elegant with that framing. :)
