Oh no! You did use the instant Jello pudding mix, right? No heat involved? I can’t imagine why the cool whip would melt. I’ve never had that happen. Next time try cooling the pie before putting the cool whip on it. I’ve used cool whip a gazillion times and never has it liquified. LOL, you sound like me. I have the hardest time following a recipe. I always announce my “qualifier”. “I con’t cook.” That way if it fails, my face is saved, and if it turns out I look like a genius. All of my successful attempts have been very easy recipes that look and taste great. One I have used a lot is the angelfood cake split and layered with cherry pie filling and iced with cool whip. It looks wonderful and tastes great, and company goes ooooo and ahhhhh and I pat a little flour on my face and say, “It was nothing, really.”

YES!! I used the instant pudding and I chilled it really well before I put the Cool Whip on the top. I don't know what happened, but this isn't the first time that Cool Whip has not preformed well for me. I should have known better and used Whipped Cream to begin with.

Yes, I remember the first thing you told me when you found out I was coming to visit...."I don't cook". Then you proceeded to make some really good desserts - and your cornbread was really good too! LOL.

I am going to bed. I am exhausted and depressed from that awful pie making experience. LOL.

I was even going to photograph my beautiful creation and share it here at Amy’s Place....yeah right! Maybe the next one. Fortunately, I usually don’t make the same mistake twice. The next one will come out better. LOL
