What a coincidence, (((Mama Bear)))!! There’s a big Polish festival going on locally this weekend, in San Pedro. It’s fun to dance the polka!!
I used to have the "Marilyn" one, but cannot find it. I must have deleted it sometime - I do that once in a while when I have so many I can't remember them. :)
I also used the one of BB on bike for a dolly logo one time(made her blonde for our own 'dolly' LOL)
Hey Dita!
I think I missed you guys when I pinged the crowd a couple days ago. That’s what I get for “borrowing” someone’s ping list!
I finally, finally caught up on this month’s thread. Boss is gone and its been a relatively slow day at work.
Sounds like everyone is having a busy summer! Have a great weekend, y’all!
Hi, (((gardengirl)))....I think you did ping me, but I just race through the pings when I have computer time and have been lurk-only for a few weeks. Now, I’m not getting audio on this ‘puter but everything else is great!!
So much wonderful stuff to celebrate today, including the birthday of Smokey Bear!!
I imagine business is booming for you these days.... Boop-oop-a-doop!!
Awwww so cute..
Heehee, I’m here (((Billie))), batting my lashes Betty Boop-style;o).
Boop-oop-a-doop!!
I am totally lazy today..Chasing squirrels off my feeder and feeding the birds have been all I have done.
I am having computer play day.
Mmmmm, rice pudding, mmmmmm......
I’ll have to tell the Knights of Columbus at my church that this is their Family Week coming up.
Nice day, interacting with the critters, eh?
I am discovering more about my new neighborhood, taking a pleasant walk today and already went to a crafts fair.
Shocking news about Bernie Mac dying!!!
I had to look up Bernie Mac...I am unfamiliar with his work.
Yes. it is critter and computer day..I did get the patio washed off just now..
I grugingly put more seed out for the bandit squirrels.
Welcome back, ‘Dita. I have missed you!
She's the one I used for a goodnight graphic - cute dress and everything. :)
Verrry good to see you holding down the fort, (((Yorkie))). I’m going to have to sign off in a minute, but it’s been so fun to be back and I’ll find time soon again. I have missed you all, too!!!!
I look forward..Fun day..I MUST get off the computer for awhile.
A Summer Afternoon
A languid atmosphere, a lazy breeze,
With labored respiration, moves the wheat
From distant reaches, till the golden seas
Break in crisp whispers at my feet.
My book, neglected of an idle mind,
Hides for a moment from the eyes of men;
Or lightly opened by a critic wind,
Affrightedly reviews itself again.
Off through the haze that dances in the shine
The warm sun showers in the open glade,
The forest lies, a silhouette design
Dimmed through and through with shade.
A dreamy day; and tranquilly I lie
At anchor from all storms of mental strain;
With absent vision, gazing at the sky,
“Like one that hears it rain.”
The Katydid, so boisterous last night,
Clinging, inverted, in uneasy poise,
Beneath a wheat-blade, has forgotten quite
If “Katy DID or DIDN'T” make a noise.
The twitter, sometimes, of a wayward bird
That checks the song abruptly at the sound,
And mildly, chiding echoes that have stirred,
Sink into silence, all the more profound.
And drowsily I hear the plaintive strain
Of some poor dove . . . Why, I can scarcely keep
My heavy eyelids—there it is again—
“Coo-coo!”—I mustn't—”Coo-coo!”—fall asleep!
