Oh, that is a pretty rose! I’d like to have a rose named for me someday. LOL. Don’t think that is going to be happening. ;-)

Beautiful rose, Billie!

Also...thanks for the FM. I will check it out when I am
not so tired from an 8-hour drive. I hope I can get it to
work...it sounds like it might be very helpful!

If you kill a rattlesnake in AZ, you face major fines, and possible jail time.

Are you serious??? Are they endangered in Arizona? Rattlesnakes are everywhere in dry, desert areas. Who would have thought they would be on an endangered list?

My late husband killed several rattlesnakes on our property - but never told anyone - he just chopped off their head and then buried them.

For some reason, I am not able (mentally) to do that.

Here is a link to why the rattlesnake is ‘endangered’ (although I was a bit surprised to see it was an inhabitat of the Eastern US - because it is very much alive in Arizona, and the SW):

Well, I sure am surprised to know that the Diamondback Rattler is endangered. My cousin and her husband have rattlesnakes on their ranch near Sacramento and have killed several of them. They even took their dog to school to teach him to fear and not go near any kind of snake. They also have him vaccinated against snake bite. I don’t know if they are the same kind of rattlers that are endangered or not, but my cousin is killing every one they find on their property. It’s just not safe not to.

I had to run up to the roadside market last evening to get some tomatoes and PEACHES! They were unloading watermelons but I can’t handle a watermelon. I occasionally buy some cut up watermelon at the grocery store (just enough for me to handle). I buy cantelope the same way!

WVNAN said she sure didn’t want blue cheese on watermelon. I would have to try it...but just a good old juicy peach can’t be beat!

I was hoping you private eyes wouldn't notice--and would move on to the cartoon. (Don't tell the mods I posted the poem without modification.) LOL!

Billie, great follow-up photo. (You may have saved me from banishment to Siberia--again.)
