You don’t have the right number of states that Obama thinks there are. You need to do the math.
When he misspoke, he said that he had VISITED 57 states! That he had ONE state left to go to. That he was not allowed to go to Alaska and Hawaii.

That means: 57 states visited + 1 more to go to + 2 not allowed to go to = 60 states total.
So that means, he thinks there are 60 states.
What it looks like happened was that in the heat of the moment he made a stupid mental math error. It looks like he was going to say ‘50 states’ - and then realizing that would get jumped tried to back off to 47 states, but did the math wrong so it came out 57 states. He then make a big point of saying ‘one more state to go to’... and then realizes that he has to correct himself again because he has just dissed two states (Alaska and Hawaii) as being not important. So he blames that on his staff ‘not allowing him’ to go. But he still didn’t catch on to his error in adding in ten extra states.
I suspect the truth of the matter is that Obama knows little about this country. Didn’t even realize we have 50 states.
I think we might be able to justify that extra +1 state, as in, ObamaNations 57 States he’s visited plus “xxxxx”.
But the 57 states part is easier to put into a commercial. Ultimately, I’m trying to goad the idiots at McCain Inc. to do the damn commercial making fun of Obamas gaffes. For some reason, they can’t put together a decent commercial to save their lives.
