Zots alone moves the wheels of history! Have you ever asked yourselves in an hour of medication which liberals find themselves in during the day, how long we have been striving for zotness? Not only the years we've been at zot. But from the moment as a child when we realized that trolls could be zotted. It has been a lifetime struggle , a never-ending zot!, I say to you! , and you will understand that it is a privilege to zot! We are moderators!! Americans I ask you, once more zot and be worthy of this historical hour! The liberals will conjure up images of our freepers and they will insult our patriots as murderers. This is our duty to zot their sorry arses into the next time zone. I say, Americans of the world, unite! We must never acquiesce!, for it is together, together that we zotvail! We must never cede control of the capacitor bank for it is together that we prevail!
The stuff we’ve used you don’t even want to be around...
Beer. Knew we were missing sumpin’
It’s labour Day here this weekend too.
Steak is going on the Barbie.
And Zucchini...we have TONS of Zucchini.
What can I say? Send the younger sionnsareen on a beer run. Oh. Maybe she’s not old enough, yet. (Never mind.)
I don’t have a barbie, but I sure wish I did!
Still, I manage to whomp up some pretty awesome steaks, even without one!
Since I’m such a carnivore, I seldom ever eat anything with it, except maybe a small salad and some garlic bread.
Cleaned up some of the garage while the sionnsareens went off on a venture to discover the dining room table top. (They found it, along with my frequent-flyer gold elite card which had been misfiled as junk mail). The LP/45-ripper (Ceol) was the obvious candidate, plus it would be nice to regain the space in the stereo cabinet, but... how was I going to rip LPs? (Not that Ceol was doing a good job -- running a wirelessly-accessed desktop AND ripping was marginally too much for it.) LoM reminded me of her laptop, I then discovered I could run the ripper software (Audacity) from a USB drive and.. I was off! Ripping an old scratched LP right now that would make the youngest sionnsareen laugh. Next transfer it to the Linux box (also with Audacity) and see if I can make a decent CD out of it.
If it works, Ceol will move to the family room though undecided whether it will remain Windows or run Linux -- part may be whether we can get Linux WiFi drivers for its card.
You forgot beer?
I have Audacity, and I would like to try Linux, but it seems I don’t know enough to get out of my own way. I’m trying to replace some of the LPs I had to part with (way back when) but I know that’s going to be an exercise in futility.
This is the kind of day I would rather spend in bed reading, but instead, it had me under a car, and helping to guide the engine into the clutch plate, then torqueing the bolts on that for the tranny.
*sigh*
My day didn’t go as planned, either, I guess you know....
(Jeez...does this make any sense? Do I need to get a new brain?)
SOB! Yes, I admit it... my own fault... I Forgot Beer! *\8-0
(But I DO have Vernor's!!!! *\8^)
Yes, it makes sense. Audacity isn’t the easiest thing to use, mostly because you have a learning curve to climb up. Not a steep or long one, fortunately, but it would be an awful lot easier if they provided a few pre-sets including “convert in stereo” mode. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to get the input meter displays to show both channels.
Argh. Ripping onto the USB drive is NOT a good solution. Way too slow to transfer files.
*sigh*
I’m doomed.
Not really. I’m sure I could walk you through it.
It would have to be on a day when neither of us had interruptions. And early is better for me, since my brain quits after a while.
Then I get clumsy and forgetful, and I’m best just given a toy with no sharp pointy things, a cup of warm milk, and a blannie.
*sigh*
Happy Labour Day!
Your brain quits?
Mine doesn't start!
Screenshots. To get the recording going should be easy. I’ve got a bit of work ahead right now to test this, but if I don’t get hit with interruptions I can try to get screenshots of how to set it up for recording.
*gulp*
(You know my problem.)
Some nights, mine starts, just about the time I want it to shut off so I can sleep.
But in the mornings ~~ well, I’m usually in zombie-mode for the first two hours. Or more.
Happy Labour Day! *HUG*
(Are you going to use the Egg?)
Whoa!
I’m expressed!
I’ve been eating veggis.
A lot.
