I apologize for the delay in the update, but between bad weather (thunder storms) and being busy, I just cant keep up! LOL
Lori is doing better and better with each passing day. She holds her drinks by herself and has been taking in as much water and fruit juice as she can handle. She even had some rice pudding tonight.... just a little, bit every bit counts. Jon ordered a trapeze unit to be put up above the bed so she can lift herself up and change positions. She will carry on a conversation with me over the phone but it is hard to hear what she is saying. Jon says she looks amazing... her color is back and she looks so healthy.
Just thought I would let everyone know whats going on, you have all been so wonderful.
I am going to send one of these to Lori, just to keep her entertained while she is in the hospital... as a matter of fact I want one for myself! They are so cute!

Thank the Lord !
Wonderful good news! Excellent and very welcome update. Prayers continue.
Dearest Pegita and everyone,
I have been waiting to post this wonderful update, but have been waiting for the right time to do so. “Our Lori” left the hospital last night and went home to be with her family!!!! It’s time for Praise! and more Praise! The trach and feeding tube have been removed, and she is eating solid foods and loves her Pepsi and Cranberry juice! LOL.
She has her hospital bed and wheelchair at home and is doing very well. The in-home nurse was there today giving instructions and everything is going well.
I would have posted this earlier but Lori did not get home until about midnight California time, and I found out at 3am my time.
I spoke with Lori on the phone this evening and I can make out most of what she has to say, but a speech therapist will be working with her.She is as sharp as a tack, but the words just dont come out right sometimes, and her eyesight is great! She is so happy to be at home with Jon, and the kids. She has been in the hospital for 3 mos now and now she is home with all those who love her.
Thank you Prayer Warriors from the bottom of my heart and soul for all you have done with helping Lori. If it had not been for all of you, I’m not sure what would have happened, the power of Prayer is amazing and I am forever grateful to each and everyone of you, you are all amazing. To God be all the glory! Amen!
With Blessings of Love
and a Thankful Heart
I send my love to each of you.
May God Bless you all.
In Faith as always,
Marianne
