My point is that almost every shortage is a human problem. Often the problem stems from government: price controls, over-regulation, corruption, etc.. Nature is bountiful; it’s human industry and ingenuity that is short supply.
Dictators, and other politicians, are often rewarded for blaming the productive members of society. When blamed, threatened, and taxed, the productive members of society withdraw and produce less.
