Cockers are my favorite breed and I am involved in their rescue. We have 2 permanent cocker family members; a blonde male and a black female. I do NOT breed, both of ours are fixed.

Hi Kalee....I think cockers are a sweet breed of dog! They are usually very lovable.

During the war, (the big war LOL )one of our neighbors had a blonde cocker named Penny.

My Dad was working the graveshift someplace. When he got off work and started home, there was Penny sitting by his car. He called to her and she came to him and jumped in the car.

When he got home, there were two Penneys. He asked around where he worked and no one came forward so we had a cocker name Penny. She was a very smart dog. When we moved to a rural area she learned to climb a ladder to get in the cotton trailer with us kids.

My husband’s brother just “rescued” a male blonde Cocker from the dog pound. Our son’s business is running a contest to “name Uncle Walt’s dog”. The business will give some freebies to the winner and for every photo sold of the dog, the money will go to the animal shelter. Anybody want to name Walt’s dog?
