Good morning, Lori.

We have lots of clouds and the weather report is for light rain in the valley today. Strange weather!

I haven’t heard any thunder. If there was any nearby, Millie would be trying to tear the door down. She is deathly afraid of thunder and gunshots.

Thank you for the beautiful Welcome Graphic that I used this morning.

Have already forgotten when you are leaving .... have a great trip and give Nan a hug from me and then another from Marissa.

I’m going to see if we can get a picnic thread up next week. Time is flying.

Keep in touch whenever possible.

Hugs to you and JK

We are leaving tomorrow evening to drive up to our son's in the Bay Area, then Tuesday AM he will take us to the airport in Oakland. :-)

Now that I am pretty much all packed I am really getting excited about this trip. Unfortunately, I still have many things to do around the house. Since we are having a puppy sitter coming in, I need to leave the house presentable. Also have some yard work to tend to, but I have enough time to get it all done.

I will keep in touch when I can, maybe even post a photo or two. Did I tell you that the Bed and Breakfast where we are staying in Salem is right behind the "House of the Seven Gables"? Cool, huh? This is going to be an interesting trip. I never was interested in history when I was younger, but over the years I have developed an appreciation for American history, especially.

Yikes, picnic time is here again! About six weeks from now. How did that happen? LOL
