I’m a Hispanic Republican and I have to admit I’m a little disappointed in the posts I’ve read here. One point that was not reported in this “VERY GOOD POST~!” and was the most important to me was the fact McCain acknowledged the Hispanic men and women that have served and died for our great nation. I don’t support amnesty either but these posts are getting RIDICULOUS..”Juan”..”Mexico Lost the war” This blog/posts aren’t anti-immigration but anti Mexican/Mexico. Do you guys really hate Mexicans that much??? ALSO.....If you guys hate John McCain a true American Hero that much then vote for Obama and make this immigration problem worse!
Let’s see This must be Tony, who just signed up today and posted. Don’t mind this Newbie, he is not a FREEPER just a visitor.
Worse yet it makes no sense at all for a presidential candidate who needs the votes of those in his own party if he has any chance of winning to be kissing up to people who are largely here illegally, lean socialist, and will never vote for him no matter what pie-in-the-sky promises are made.
Something tells me mccain is doing this because it's his natural constituency. He would have done us all a big favor had he joined the democratic party when he had wanted to.
If you are a little disappointed you might as well leave. Who cares WHAT nationality they are? They are our veterans,
BUT I bet you are one of the Hispanics that applauds illegal aliens get 25 million dollars a year of Illinois Taxpayers money to help them become citizens and OUR veterans get 4 million for a program for tramtic head injuries in the Iraq war. Did you complain? Are you even aware of the plight of OUR veterans NO MATTER WHAT THE ETHNICITY??
Anti Mexico? maybe we are tired of pressing 1 for English.
Kid, what do you expect? Are we supposed to love Mexico even though they encourage their own citizens to venture el norte illegally so they don’t have to take care of them or address the corruption that exists there; the country that calls us xenophobic, racist, bigots merely because we want our laws obeyed and enforced; the country that is constantly meddling in US politics via their Mexican consuls?
Why did McCain have to acknowledge Hispanic men and women have served and died for our country? Everyone knows that, yet he felt it important to point it out in this closed door meeting. Why? Because he’s pandering to the RACIAL BIASES he expected to exist in that room, and he wasn’t disappointed. Everyone should find that shameful, IMO. AMERICAN men and women have served and died for this country and they should all be honored at all times without compartmentalizing their honorable deeds to pat one race or ethnicity on the back to the exclusion of all others. It’s quite sickening if you ask me.
