Great photos, Dolly! Bet it's the Lab in her that makes her love the water so much and want to retrieve sticks. Most dogs, unless they are "water" dogs, would have to be dragged into the water. Chachi and Sissy both HATE water in any form.....except in their water bowl. I could throw a T-Bone steak into a few inches of water and Chachi would wait for someone else to retrieve it. LOL

I gave Sissy a bath the other day and you'd a thought I was killing her. She survived, but according to her, just barely. ;-)

Oliver was very much a water dog like Josy & was Shepherd & Golden mix

Toby will go in water to cool off & play & esp with his dog friends along the way. The males are very aggressive in a playful way.. He fights like the dickens if I try to get him in the tub. I give him most of his baths in rivers. Put leash on him & suds up, rinse, repeat etc.

Josy just LOVES water. The first walk we took (she was on leash ) on the day I got her in Feb 06 she found a little puddle & just romped in it, throwing the leave around etc. I could tell then she was drawn to water.

When I would run my bath water, she would come in with me. Once that spring warmed up & I made sure she was with/in water every day, she stopped sharing my tub .. good & bad.. It was a little annoying but also sweet. But she is a big dog! and I am a big girl. And the tub is just standard size.

Off to dinner at my fav mom & pop pizza place to do my “homework” that I should have done all week for Bible study which is at 7:30 tonight.
