A coworker of mine is almost that funny. We had a hilarios discussion the other day—she’s always mixing up words. I said something about saffron, and that it came from crocuses. She said—saccharine, isn’t that an artificial sweetener? I didn’t know it came from flowers.

Before that she asked someone if the little pickles were called gherkins or jerkins, made an appropriate hand movemnet to illustrate her point of jerking them off the vine, concluded by asking— You jerk them off, right?
One of the old loafers was sitting in the store. I thought he was going to fall out of his chair. And, yes, she is blond. I love her dearly, but boy does my face stay red when she’s around! It’s like a train wreck—you can see it happening but you’re helpless to prevent it.
