"Thank you so much Bob. This one goes in my "keeper" file, to be passed on to my grandchildren to read. What a great big soul you are. God bless you."
Origami Soul
Folded, folded, folded, origami soul,
Hidden proof that someones in control,
Disbursing blessings just as they are needed,
And watching well the garden that Hes seeded.
My lifes been given such a charm,
As insulation for expected harm,
A well compacted wrapping for my heart,
So frequently does pain attempt its part.
And when the stormy battering arrives,
My merry singing heart safely survives,
Inside the warming shelter of a nest,
In which it can relax and get its rest.
I notice all about me things are changing,
A road-map toward glory rearranging,
And life is filled with circumstance divine,
Im pleased to watch the part of it thats mine.

(When you get to be my age, feeling pain is like noticing dust. -- So what?)

OH MY! How in the world can you do that? I couldn’t rhyme two lines, much less have them make such beautiful sense. Your poems give my old heart a lift. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
